Project Categories
HyperHack focuses on three tracks of project categories:
Track 1: AI-Native and Core-Aligned Projects
- AI-Native dApps: Applications with AI embedded in the logic layer
- Onchain AI & Data: Protocols bringing AI workflows directly on-chain
- Hyperion AI Integration: Projects using Hyperion’s built-in AI co-agent
Track 2: Real-Time Systems
- Real-Time Web3: Applications requiring minimal latency
- Real-Time Gaming and DeFi: Games and finance platforms needing fast, continuous interaction
Track 3: Infrastructure and Ecosystem Tools
- Traditional DeFi Protocols: Core primitives reimagined for Hyperion
- Web3 Infrastructure and Tooling: Developer-facing tools and services
- Interoperability with Metis SDK: Projects bridging Hyperion and Andromeda
Bonus Track: Alith Integration
- Alith Integrations: Projects integrating Alith (https://alith.lazai.network) into their codebase
Prize Pool Distribution
The total prize pool of $200,000 USD will be distributed as follows:
- Track 1 & 2 Top Projects: $150,000 (split among top 3–4)
- Track 3 Winners: $20,000 (split among top 1–3)
- Alith Integration Prizes: $30,000
Alith rewards apply to all the tracks. Your team can earn prizes based on different tracks, plus an additional bonus if you integrate with Alith.
Prizes will be vested with 50% unlocked 1–2 weeks post-mainnet launch and the remaining 50% vested over 5 monthly installments.
Timeline
Duration: May 15 - June 2, 2025
- May 15: Official launch - Application form opens
- May 30: Final deadline for refined project submissions
- June 2: Accepted teams advance to the building phase
- June 9: Early-Bird NFTs awarded
How to Apply

1. Read this post
2. Request to join hackathon
Go to Hyperion Initiators Group and request to join the hackathon by clicking the “Request” button at the top right corner of the page.
3. Fill form
A sample template for the application form will appear. Complete the application form with:
- Project Title
- Problem Statement
- Solution Overview
- Project Description
- Community Engagement Features
4. Wait for verdict
Developers will be informed of their approval within 1 working day via forum notifications and email.
5. Write a Proposal to the Forum
Developers should write a proposal to the Ideathon Category with their submission for the community to discuss and to track updates to the project.
You may use the same text from your application form for your proposal, or refer to this template
Judging [By June 2]
- Developers will begin finalizing their applications based on feedback received from the community and the hackathon committee.
- Developers who finalize their proposals early may be admitted to the building phase before June 2.
- Developers who apply after May 25 may be admitted to the building phase later than June 2.

Forum Activities During the Ideathon
- Idea Sharing & Discussion: Post your initial concept and engage with peer feedback
- Mini-Task Submissions: Share validation materials like prototype screens or architecture diagrams
- Community Voting: Participate in upvoting promising projects
- Feedback Threads: Dedicated spaces for specific feedback requests
- Live Session Announcements: Updates about upcoming AMAs and workshops
- Official Updates: Important announcements from the Hyperion team
Rewards and Earnings
- AMA Participation Rewards: $50 USD per contributor (limited to 10 participants per session)
- Early-Bird NFTs: Exclusive digital badges awarded June 9
- Includes bonus testing tokens
- Provides special access to later hackathon phases
- Community Recognition: Top ideas featured in Hyperion’s official channels
- Fast-Track Selection: Outstanding proposals receive priority consideration for the building phase
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to individual developers and teams worldwide
- Must complete the full application form with all required information
- Proposals must include a community testing/engagement component
- Teams must be available to participate in at least one live session during the ideathon
- Participants must adhere to Hyperion’s code of conduct and terms
Live Ideathon Sessions
Session Hosts:
- Technical Workshops: Led by Hyperion core engineers
- Community AMAs: Facilitated by Hyperion Developer Relations team
- Ideation Sessions: Guided by product managers and UX specialists from Hyperion
- Testing Strategy Workshops: Conducted by community managers and QA specialists
Important Requirements
- Community Engagement Plan: All proposals must include ideas for community testing in later phases
- Gamification Component: Projects should incorporate elements that encourage user participation
- Task Documentation: Clearly defined tasks must be included in the proposal
- Forum Participation: Teams must actively engage in discussion threads about their own and others’ ideas
- Proposal Refinement: Teams must be open to reshaping ideas based on community feedback
- Acceptance Process: Final proposals will be marked as “Accepted” on the forum before advancing
After acceptance, projects will proceed to the Building Phase.
