Welcome to the HyperHack Hackathon Forum!

Welcome to the official HyperHack section of our forum!
This dedicated space has been created to support participants throughout the HyperHack Hackathon journey.

To maintain quality and organization, new topics can only be created by approved participants in the Hyperion Project Initiators group.

Purpose & Benefits

This category serves as the central hub for hackathon projects, designed to:

  • Provide a structured technical assessment of project ideas
  • Facilitate skill-matching, increase participation numbers, and improve project diversity
  • Help developers find or join teams quickly
  • Capture quality team profiles, standardize project proposals, and create baseline for judging criteria
  • Increase hackathon project quality, drive forum activity, and ensure alignment with Hyperion’s technical capabilities

Hackathon Stages

Stage 1: Applications & Ideathon (Now - June 15)

Please refer to the Ideathon subcategory pinned post for instructions on how to participate.

During this phase, participants will:

  • Submit and refine project ideas
  • Receive feedback on technical feasibility and innovation potential
  • Form teams and find collaborators with complementary skills
  • Align project goals with Hyperion’s capabilities

Stage 2: Development Stage (June 2 - August 7) [CURRENT]

As we progress, this section will evolve to support:

  • Providing technical guidance and showcasing Hyperion’s capabilities
  • Keeping teams shipping and maintaining visibility
  • Helping teams effectively showcase their projects
  • Enabling skilled participants to join existing teams after hackathon start
  • Improving project user experience and interface design through community feedback

Stage 3: Stress-testing Stage (July 15 - August 7)

Later, we’ll focus on:

  • Identifying potential vulnerabilities in projects
  • Gathering bugs, UX feedback, and load data
  • Collecting well-scoped test tasks for stress-testing
  • Conducting thorough testing of submitted dApps
  • Validating projects under real-world conditions and identifying performance and UX bottlenecks

Stage 4: Judging and Wrap-up (August 7 - August 16)

In the final stage, we’ll concentrate on:

  • Improving project quality before judging
  • Helping teams refine value propositions and target audiences
  • Showcasing completed projects
  • Determining winners based on innovation, quality, and performance

Get Started Today!

We are currently at the Application & Ideathon phase.

Project Categories

HyperHack focuses on three tracks of project categories:

Track 1: AI-Native and Core-Aligned Projects

  • AI-Native dApps: Applications with AI embedded in the logic layer
  • Onchain AI & Data: Protocols bringing AI workflows directly on-chain
  • Hyperion AI Integration: Projects using Hyperion’s built-in AI co-agent

Track 2: Real-Time Systems

  • Real-Time Web3: Applications requiring minimal latency
  • Real-Time Gaming and DeFi: Games and finance platforms needing fast, continuous interaction

Track 3: Infrastructure and Ecosystem Tools

  • Traditional DeFi Protocols: Core primitives reimagined for Hyperion
  • Web3 Infrastructure and Tooling: Developer-facing tools and services
  • Interoperability with Metis SDK: Projects bridging Hyperion and Andromeda

Bonus Track: Alith Integration

Prize Pool Distribution

The total prize pool of $200,000 USD will be distributed as follows:

  • Track 1 & 2 Top Projects: $150,000 (split among top 3–4)
  • Track 3 Winners: $20,000 (split among top 1–3)
  • Alith Integration Prizes: $30,000

Alith rewards apply to all the tracks. Your team can earn prizes based on different tracks, plus an additional bonus if you integrate with Alith.

Prizes will be vested with 50% unlocked 1–2 weeks post-mainnet launch and the remaining 50% vested over 5 monthly installments.

We’re excited to see the innovative projects you’ll create during this hackathon! Let’s build something amazing together on Hyperion.

Hello, regarding track 2.
do i need to use real-time on-chain? because for my knowledge metis L2 isnt fast to be in Real-time area.

for e.g there’s ephemeral rollup in another blockchain with 10ms which make it possible to do real-time on-chain, and make it as a multiplayer server

So in this track, I need to use my own off-chain server right?

The parallelized transaction functionality in Hyperion allows for multiple transactions to be batched, allowing for real-time transactions. We have benchmarked this system to allow for 1 gigagas/sec with a latency of approx 250ms. This should meet the requirements that most real-time applications need. We require the usage of Hyperion for all HyperHack submissions.

Oh, I see. Are you using an ABC stack rollup right?

For a turn-based game, this might still be good. But for a game with a high tick rate, running the server on-chain may not be feasible. A game like Stumble Guys would require a latency of at least 80ms with consistent latency, and high-FPS gaming would need even lower latency.

But this is still good, so i can build accordingly
