it usually takes a lot for someone to voluntarily share content spontaneously.

so what actually makes someone click repost?

in my experience, it’s usually one of five things:

• it helps them look smart

• it makes them laugh

• it says what they feel but couldn’t word

• it’s so beautiful they want others to see it

• there’s something in it for them

this goes beyond just “good content”. people share what makes them look good, feel something, or signal their identity.

so when writing for X, think less like a broadcaster and more like a mirror. are you giving your audience something they want to show others?
