What makes a project “portfolio-worthy” for a developer?

Not every project we build ends up being something we show off. Some stay half-finished, some were just experiments, and a few feel solid enough to highlight in a portfolio or on GitHub.

But what makes the difference?

  • Is it the quality of the code?

  • The design and polish?

  • The size of the impact?

  • Or simply how much you learned while building it?

Curious to hear how others decide which projects are worth showcasing.
