Executive Summary

This proposal is an update to Sequencer Proposal: Nansen. Following the approval of our initial partnership, Nansen has successfully delivered key milestones across data integration, ecosystem reporting, and marketing.

We are now seeking confirmation to proceed with the next phase: launching a decentralized sequencer on Metis in Q2 2026.

Nansen is recognized as a top-performing validator across multiple Proof-of-Stake (PoS) networks, with a strong and growing track record:

Future Opportunities: Nansen is in the early stages of developing AI-powered analytics (Nansen AI) and agentic capabilities (Nansen CLI) across its platform. While these features are not currently available for Metis and there is no confirmed timeline for ecosystem-specific support, they represent a potential area of added value for the partnership as the product evolves.

Metis has been fully integrated into Nansen with a dedicated Chain God Mode dashboard (previously known as the Growth Dashboard), offering real-time insights into critical ecosystem metrics such as active addresses, entity activity, and growth signals. This public-facing dashboard enhances Metis’s transparency and visibility within the blockchain community, with prominent exposure across the Nansen platform to our global audience.

On Chain Data Integration

Metis on-chain data has been indexed into Nansen’s data infrastructure, providing the foundation for the Chain God Mode dashboard and comprehensive data coverage across analytics, labelling, and tooling on the Nansen platform.

Metis Annual Ecosystem Report

Nansen produced the Metis Annual Report 2025, providing a comprehensive deep dive into the Metis ecosystem with unique insights leveraging our proprietary labelling. The report was shared across Nansen’s highly engaged audience to drive awareness and foster interest in Metis’s growth and opportunities.

Leveraging our proprietary data labelling, we spotlight Metis’s unique value propositions and key ecosystem projects through live-streamed analyses, deep dives into key dApps, and data-driven storytelling that builds momentum for the ecosystem.

This is a true co-marketing partnership: Nansen’s ecosystem reports and data insights serve as a foundation for Metis’s own community content and ecosystem communications, amplifying reach across both audiences.

Nansen Subscriptions for the Metis Team

Metis’s team has been granted access to Nansen Pro and API subscriptions, providing unparalleled tools for wallet tracking, entity labelling, advanced analytics, and programmatic data access. These resources empower Metis’s marketing, research, business development, and product teams to make data-driven decisions, accelerating ecosystem growth and innovation.

Phase 3

Nansen is requesting confirmation to deploy and operate a decentralized sequencer within the Metis network. This is the natural next step in our partnership, building on the data infrastructure and ecosystem contributions already delivered.

As a sequencer, Nansen will contribute to Metis’s decentralization goals and reinforce the network’s infrastructure resilience — backed by our operational track record.

Phase 4

Following the sequencer launch, Nansen will organize and host a Nansen x Metis IRL event in Singapore, bringing together builders, developers, and the broader crypto community. This event will foster collaboration, celebrate the continued partnership, and further drive exposure and awareness for the Metis ecosystem.
