The one post every new Hyperion Forum user should read.
Welcome to the Hyperion Forum where builders, operators, thinkers, and game-changers come together to shape the future of decentralized systems.
Whether you’re a developer, a community mod, a strategist, or just curious this space is designed for collaboration, contribution, and connection.
If you’re new here, this is your map to make your entry smooth, intentional, and rewarding.
Step 1: Read Before You Build
Start by browsing a few active topics to get a feel for how conversations flow. You’ll pick up the forum tone, core values, and what kind of contributions the community appreciates.
Pay special attention to:
• Pinned announcements
• Existing suggestions or proposal threads
• Recent discussions under the Guilds or General category
Step 2: Visit the Forum Bot (aka Discobot)
There’s an in-built tutorial assistant here. Just send a message to @discobotand follow its basic and advanced tutorials.
This will walk you through things like:
• Formatting posts
• Quoting, liking, and replying
• Using forum features like bookmarks and drafts
Trust me, this is the quickest way to get technical without getting stuck.
Step 3: Check the Announcements
Go to the Announcements category to see the latest updates, campaigns, grants, and events.
This is where the story unfolds, and you don’t want to miss early insights.
Step 4: Scroll to the Bottom
At the very end of the homepage, you’ll see “Suggested Topics.”
Use this section to:
• Preview interesting conversations
• Reply, react, or ask questions
• Show your presence by interacting with threads based on your interests.
Step 5: Update Your Profile
Head over to your profile and add a bio, links, or location (optional). This helps people recognize serious contributors and yes, it earns you early badges.
Stand out from the default crowd.
Step 6: Understand Trust Levels (Cheat Code)
New accounts have limited access (you can’t DM, post too often, or tag freely).
But here’s the cheat:
The more you read, reply, react, and engage the faster you unlock features.
Comment on 5 topics.
Like a few useful posts.
Tag someone smart.
Boom you’ve leveled up.
Step 7: Use the Advanced Search
Looking for something specific?
Use the
search bar with filters (category, date, username) to quickly find topics that match your interest be it dApps, governance, onboarding, or events.
Step 8: Yes, There Are Rewards
This isn’t just discussion for discussion’s sake.
Top contributors, helpers, and creative thinkers often get noticed, rewarded, and invited into deeper parts of the ecosystem.
Don’t underestimate the power of a smart comment.
Introducing the Guilds (Pick Your Path):
When you’re ready to go beyond reading, find your role:
Builders Guild– For developers, smart contract tinkerers, dApp creators, and protocol designers.
Operators Guild – For infrastructure minds, validators, DAO specialists, tool integrators, and technical architects.
Marketers Guild – For content creators, community managers, campaign strategists, and digital storytellers.
Pick your guild. Introduce yourself. Start contributing.
We’re watching and rooting for you.
