Lessons Learned from Viral Campaigns in Web3

Most campaigns don’t fail because of bad design. They fail because people stop caring after the first interaction.

You need to think about why someone would come back after the first day.

  • Give people a reason to talk.
If your campaign doesn’t spark conversations, it disappears fast. People need something worth sharing, something they want to show others.

  • Reward actions that matter.
Paying for clicks or random tasks gets attention but not the right users. Focus on actions that show real interest and create real engagement.

  • Keep the energy alive.
A single announcement won’t hold attention. Add new angles, small updates, or surprises that make people check back.

  • Be present.
Talk to your users. Answer questions. Share updates in real time. People respond more when they feel you are there with them.

Good points! I also wanna add that you as a marketer should also be aware about a target audience in space where are you hosting your marketing campaign, that the people who join the project may not be the target audience, and they will lose interest no matter how much you try to encourage them to do something.
