how far does this extend to lead devs and web3 builders?
i think it’s becoming more and more important for founders and lead devs to stay active on social (especially x)
shipping real tech takes time. Communities need more than just final releases, they need ongoing updates, a sense of momentum, and personal connection. Being part of the public build journey keeps everyone engaged and aligned
Founders and lead devs sharing progress and thoughts on X keeps the community engaged, shows something that is really needed in this space: “transparency”, and fuels long-term conviction.
I do share updates, new features, bugs sometimes. but its more like a personal memo I’m having fun writing them and who knows maybe some me-like nerd will enjoy reading it but .. it’s always good to have that account shared with someone who’s focus is actually getting those messages through to the crowd with the right engagement rates
Agreed, in Web3, silence often gets read as stagnation. Founders and devs showing up on social isn’t about hype, it’s about building trust and keeping momentum visible. Even small, authentic updates go a long way in keeping communities aligned while the heavier shipping happens behind the scenes.
Nice take. I personally agree with this because while building Sentinel I also learned that while building a product is hard but the marketing and outreach of that product and getting real users and traction is 10x more hard and having a personal brand really helps.
