Build & Chill: Learning by Building, Together

Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed how many of us in the LazAI community say the same thing: it’s easier to learn when you’re actually building something real, not just reading docs or following slides.

That’s exactly why we’re starting Build & Chill — a six-week workshop series built around one simple rhythm:

  • Thursday live session → learn a practical concept

  • Weekend task → apply it to something small but real

  • Sunday submission → share your work and get feedback

I’ve tried a few “learn by building” formats before, and what really makes them work is consistency. Small projects stack up, and by the end you realize you’ve built something meaningful while leveling up your skills step by step.

For Build & Chill, we’ll keep the pace clear: show up to the Thursday workshop, build over the weekend, and drop your submission before Sunday night. Miss a session? No problem — materials and guidance will live in our dedicated Discord channel so you can catch up anytime.

To keep it fun but also structured, there are some expectations:

  • Attend at least 5 of 6 workshops

  • Complete at least 4 tasks on time

  • Stay connected in Discord for updates & peer support

We also set aside $2,000 in tiered rewards to recognize effort and consistency (not just “turning something in,” but showing problem-solving and application of what you learned).

By the end, you’ll have a portfolio of small projects built with LazAI tools — and hopefully, the confidence to tackle bigger things.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: If you’re a builder wanting to sharpen skills, or just someone curious about starting, this series is for you. It’s about growing together, not just ticking off tasks.

Love this approach, learning by building is the best way to gain real skills. The structure and consistency here make it super valuable for anyone wanting to grow.
