Dogex: Simplified Decentralized Perpetuals DEX on Hyperion

DogEx dApp – Test

Test Environment

  • Browser: Chrome / Metamask browser

  • Device: Desktop / Mobile

  • Wallet used: MetaMask

  • Network: Hyperion testnet

  • Test Funds Used: test USDC tokens

Overall Functionality

The Dogex app is fully functional. Wallet connection works smoothly without any delays or errors, and the connected wallet address is displayed correctly. The entire trading flow—from connecting the wallet to opening and closing positions—is simple and intuitive, even for users new to trading or DeFi.

Test Token Minting

The integrated faucet for minting test USDC tokens works flawlessly. Tokens are received instantly. However, users need to manually add the test USDC token in MetaMask to view their balance. Adding a short instruction or one-click import feature would improve usability.

User Interface & Experience

The app’s interface is clean, intuitive, and beginner-friendly. The live DOGE price chart updates in real-time without noticeable lag. Limiting users to one open position at a time helps simplify risk management and makes it easier to track performance.

AI Agent Performance

The built-in AI assistant provides relevant real-time data and contributes to the fun, meme-driven tone of the app, which fits the DOGE theme well. However, its price predictions were mostly inaccurate, and occasionally, the price data it displayed did not match the actual token price.

Accessibility & Resources

Links to the app’s documentation and social media are available and functional, which helps users stay informed and access support when needed.

Bugs & Issues Detected

  1. Incorrect Token Price Display

  2. Metamask Browser Compatibility Issues

    • When using MetaMask’s in-app browser, critical buttons like **“Up,” “Down,” and “Close Position”**sometimes stop responding.

    • To proceed, users must disconnect and reconnect their wallet, making it difficult to trade efficiently, especially for short-term or scalping strategies.

Suggestions for Improvement

  1. Liquidation Notifications

    • Currently, there are no alerts when a position is close to liquidation or when liquidation occurs.

    • Adding real-time warnings, and a message explaining liquidation after it happens (especially when the user is offline), would greatly improve transparency and user confidence.

  2. Trading History / User Profile

    • There’s no section to view past trades or closed positions.

    • A simple user profile with transaction history would help users monitor their progress, learn from past trades, and build trust.

  3. Multi-token Support

    • Currently, users can only trade DOGE.

    • Adding support for other tokens—starting with native ecosystem tokens like $METIS—would expand the app’s appeal and utility.

Conclusion

Dogex offers a fun and accessible leveraged trading experience, especially suitable for newcomers. Its meme-driven style and simplified interface make it approachable, while the test token faucet supports smooth onboarding. However, improvements are needed in terms of bug fixes, better risk communication, and extended features such as trade history and multi-token support. With these refinements, DogEx could evolve into a standout dApp in the meme-trading niche.

thats a really noice feedback, thanks a lot!)

regarding prices - it’s onchain rn and we’re updating them from oracle every 15 secs, on mainnet it should be much faster

Thank you for such a quick response  Please check the prices again. I mean 0.19 on chart and 0.019 in position difference is not because of slower update.

I found the lack of stop-loss and take-profit functions limiting for more effective trading. The AI prompt function can be made more intelligent over time.

yeah, I think it can be done. ST TP are important, need to understand if junior traders can understand them well

I am an inexperienced trader. I can say about the application that I find it useful and convenient for practical use. The system looks quite safe and gives confidence when setting the leverage. The system reacts quickly to the actions of the tester. Thank you

thank you so much boss, really appreciate your feedback

It would also be great to include a transaction history feature so users can track their past trades, along with quick guides for features like AI Trader and Mint TEST USDC . Additionally, the waiting time for AI Vibe Trader results feels quite long, so optimizing its speed would greatly improve the user experience. :ok_hand:

I suggest Doge-Ex add more order types to improve trading flexibility and risk management. These could include:

  • Market Order – instant execution at current market price.

  • Limit Order – execute at a specified price or better.

  • Stop-Limit Order – trigger a limit order once a stop price is reached, to control execution price.

  • Trailing Stop-Loss – automatically adjusts stop price to lock in profits.

These features would give users more control, protect against volatility, and make Doge-Ex more competitive. :100:

The site is just the tip of how fast and smooth what Hyperion is bringing.

I minted 1000 USDC after getting gas from the faucet but I can’t open any positions yet as it says I have insufficient gas to do so and when I try to get gas from the faucet, it says u have to wait, I think 24hours

It was while attempting my first trade. Also, there are no TP and SL settings

Also, if it were a gas fe isuuse which I think is not, because I have 0.009 tMetis left and it’s requesting 0.001 tMetis

I have more than enough and it’s not going through

Hey boss,

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. I double-checked everything on our side, and the project is working well. I believe the problem can be resolved by changing your RPC in MetaMask. Could you please try that and let me know if it helps?
